PET SALES(DEPOSIT CONTRACT)

 

After a kitten/puppy is chosen either by sight, photo, or in any manner, a deposit is required to hold the animal.  This deposit is non-refundable.  In the case of a pet, the deposit is valid until the pet reaches age of twelve weeks, by that time the remaining monies must be paid and the pet be picked up.

 

You will then have 5 days to take your pet to your veterinarian and have the animal examined if you so choose.  Should your veterinarian find any problem, it must be verified by your veterinarian’s written and signed statement.  If it is so wished, the animal is to be returned at Buyer’s expense, and the veterinarian’s statement is to be surrendered to Seller.

 

The animal is then subject re-examination by Seller’s choice of a veterinarian at no cost to the Buyer, to determine whether treatment is feasible, or that a credit be given toward the purchase of another animal as soon as possible.

 

The pet is being sold in a state of normal good health.  Should the pet die as a result of a verified genetic defect within one year of delivery, the pet will be replaced by one of comparable value as soon as one is available.  The Buyer must furnish Seller’s veterinarian with a detailed necropsy report performed by a university lab such as UC Davis, University of IL, or Purdue University.  In the unlikely event that this happens, your vet can help you make the arrangements for a necropsy.

 

The Seller is not responsible for ANY medical or veterinarian fees incurred by Buyer.  All shipping expenses including Rabies, Health Certificate & Kennel are the responsibility of the Buyer.- ( $350 in the U.S.A.)

 

Any legal action that may ensue as a result of this transaction must be brought within the County of origin of the transaction.  That being Will County, IL.

 

IT IS UNDERSTOOD NO MONEY WILL BE REFUNDED FOR ANY REASON

 

Further elaboration of agreement:

 

       1.  Under no circumstances will this animal be sold, leased, or given away to any pet                            shop, research laboratory, or shelter, or any similar facility.

       2.  Adequate indoor facilities will be provided and this pet will not be allowed to roam                            freely outdoors.

       3.  If this animal is found to be neglected or in ill health for an unreasonable length of time,                   the Buyer will surrender it to the Seller unconditionally, with registration papers.

       4.  This animal is purchased as a pet without breeding rights. Pets are all to be neutered or                 spayed.

       5.  Seller agrees to provide Buyer with CFA/AKC (and in some cases TICA as well)                           registration papers after full payment has been received and cleared by Bank and when                  spay/neuter veterinary documents are provided.

       6.  One-half the price of the animal is to be given as a down payment to hold it for the                         Buyer.  The remaining half is to be paid when the animal is picked up.  All pets are to be               picked up by the age of twelve weeks or when the Seller agrees upon or the deposit will                 be forfeited.

       7.  The pet is not sold until full payment and a signed contract is received by Seller.
